FOR-A promotes SOAR-A, a software-based line aimed at remote production, at IBC 2022
SOAR-A, the great launch of FOR-A to IBC 2022, represents the company's leap to software-based systems aimed at remote live production environments.
The latest solution FOR-A, directed for a significant number of applications live video production (news, sports, business), wants to offer a important number of alternatives for “all IP variants”, including SMPTE ST 2110 y IS. All without giving up the main trends of the industry, among which are the 4K video production via 12G SDI or achieving workflows with low latency y software based services.
SOAR-A (Software Optimized Appliance Revolutionized by For-A) sostiene su peso en dos pilares: SOAR-A Edge, high security IP transport devices between 2 and 16 channels, and SOAR-A IPTV, and ultra-low latency delivery service which provides streaming from one location over WebRTC to browsers or remote set-top boxes. The entire workflow of this FOR-A solution is intended to ensure a REMI production highly secure and streaming without a gateway SD, HD and 4K.
SOAR-A Edge y SOAR-A IPTV
SOAR-A Edge is currently based on the server SOAR-A Edge, expandable to 16 channels, and the SOAR-A Edge Mini of two channels. Both provide RIST, which enables secure and synchronized packaging of audio and video for transfer, as well as compatibility with WebRTC (Web Real-time Communication), technology with which the system can transmit video without a gateway from any browser to any browser. The development of AJA, according to the company itself, has been designed to allow offering quick connections “from the most difficult locations.”
The second great solution that FOR-A has presented at IBC 2022 is the SOAR-A IPTV, a solution designed to stream from a primary location to remote browsers o dedicated decoders. The system, which requires a single device SOAR-A at the main location with set-top boxes or PCs at remote locations for viewing, allows viewers to view managed video on computers standard, tablets and smartphones. Like SOAR-A Edge, the IPTV version offers a ultra low latency and one Highly scalable WebRTC streaming. The cameras can also be monitored via a low latency preview in the web browser without the need for custom software. In addition, SOAR-A IPTV also allows the recording 24/7.
Bet on the NDI
Beyond these equipment, prepared to offer a solution to current challenges of the broadcast industry, FOR-A has placed special emphasis on its hybrid SDI and IP products. The goal of this approach is to offer a solid migration path that starts from current standards until reaching the IP connectivity that could dictate the future of the sector. To achieve this, FOR-A has created a significant number of developments compatible with the NDI protocol, a solution that, apart from allowing you to work with soft compression video streams and without compression, it incorporates a important channel to manage metadata.
To achieve this future-proof workflow, FOR-A is committed to a compatible product series with the technology of Vizrt Group like production switch FOR-A HVS-490, the new production center MFR-3100EX all in one (a multi-channel solution with extensive production options) and the opciones de gráficos desarrollados en colaboración con partners como ClassX y Brainstorm.
