RTVE and Turespaña promote the 4K documentary series 'This is Spain'
Esto es España, la nueva serie documental de 13 episodios de RTVE in collaboration with Turespaña, dará a conocer una “nueva forma de turismo” en UHD.
La nueva serie, que será emitida en TVE International y “otros canales de RTVE”, ha sido presentada en el marco de Fitur 2023 por la ministra de Industria, Comercio y Turismo, Reyes Maroto; el director de Educación, Diversidad Cultural e Internacional de RTVE, Ignacio Elguero, y el director general del Instituto de Turismo de España (Turespaña), Miguel Sanz.
Esto es España recorrerá la geografía española desde una mirada joven y actual de la mano de Enrique Álex, uno de los mayores creadores de contenidos de viajes in Spanish, paying attention to the sustainability, diversity and natural, cultural and social offer of 21st century Spain. The production will be edited in 4K y UHD and with english subtitling, and is part of the collaboration protocol signed between the two entities in 2022. On behalf of RTVE, Ignacio Elguero has stated that this series "will show a mythical and unique Spain, not a cliché, through literature, arts, architecture, landscape and country life. Enrique Alex, director of Esto es España, also wanted to emphasize that the main objective of the series is to “connect with all people.” "Outside we are known for the beaches, the paella... but we aspire to change the perspective. I am always fascinated when I visit new corners of Spain. And that will be included in the program," he added.
