On February 13, the Cardenal Lorenzana Palace in Toledo will host a day focused on audiovisual innovation created by RTVE and the UCLM which will feature important speakers and topics within the broadcast universe.

The conference will open at 10:00 with the participation of Elena Sanchez, president of RTVE; Cristina Bravo, director of RTVE Castilla-La Mancha; José Julián Garde López-Brea, rector of the University of Castilla-La Mancha; Leonor Gallardo Guerrero, vice-rector for coordination, communication and promotion of the UCLM, and representatives of the Government of the Community Board of Castilla-La Mancha.

Half an hour later, a table on 5G technology and its applications in the audiovisual sector moderated by RTVE journalist Carlos de la Morena. They will participate in it César Sánchez Meléndez, vice-rector of culture, sports and social responsibility of the UCLM; Alipio García, general director of Territorial Cohesion, belonging to the Ministry of Sustainable Development; Wenceslao Sánchez de la Peña, director de Telecom CLM; Rafael Castillo, vice president and general manager of EMEA and Latin America of TVU Networks, y Pere Vila, director of technological strategy and innovation at RTVE.

The RTVE and UCLM audiovisual innovation day will continue at 11:15 with a conversation focused on the relationship between artificial intelligence and media. In it, under the tutelage of Silvia García Vega, CCTT coordinator of RTVE, will share their vision on this groundbreaking trend Ismael García Varia, vice-rector of transformation and digital strategy of the UCLM; David Llorente, CEO of Narrative; Carlos Munoz, CEO of Monoceros, and David Corral, Head of Innovation at RTVE.

Automation and future

After a short coffee break, from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. the audiovisual innovation days will continue with a table on the “importance of automatic analysis of content in the media.” Carmen Perez, deputy director of innovation and technological strategy at RTVE, will moderate the interventions of Carlos González Morcillo, academic director of the vice-rector's office for digital transformation and strategy; Virginia Bazan, deputy director of the RTVE documentary collection; Antonio Leon, CEO of Etiqmedia; and Francesc Tarrés, from UPC-Ugiat.

The last theme of the day will take place from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will focus on “future of media”. José María Herranz, dean of the communication faculty at UCLM; Carmen Amores, general director of CMM and president of FORTA; Esther Esteban, executive president of CLM's El Español-El Digital, and Cristina Bravo, director of RTVE C-LM will discuss this interesting topic with Nuria López, head of news at TVE C-LM, distributing games.
