La NAB Show Broadcast Engineering and IT (BEIT) Conference will take the pulse of the technical problems, challenges and opportunities facing the future of media distribution ecosystems.

Produced in collaboration with the Society of Broadcast Engineers, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and the North American Broadcasters Association, the conference will be held, coinciding with NAB 2023, from April 15 to 18, 2023 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The BEIT Conference is aimed at broadcast engineers and technicians, media technology directors, equipment manufacturers and distributors, engineering and R&D consultants. The conference will include technical presentations on the evolution of next-generation content delivery systems for radio, television and the broader information technology ecosystem.

El presidente de la Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, Renard T. Jenkins, will be the BEIT keynote speaker at the conference's opening session on April 15 at 10 a.m.

Currently, Jenkins is Senior Vice President of Production Integration and Creative Technology Services at Warner Bros. Discovery, and oversees teams that support more than 23,500 cast and crew members, produce more than 8,500 hours of content, and generate hundreds of global feature films, animations, and syndicated television productions annually.

Among the many honors he has received in his more than 35 years in the television, radio and film industries, Jenkins has been honored with a Peabody Award, two National Headliner Awards and the 2020 Broadcasting and Cable Technology Leadership Award.

The award will also be presented at the inaugural session of the BEIT NAB Best Paper Award, which distinguishes the author or authors of the best technical presentation of the conference. Technical presentations will be presented in sessions focused on topics such as NextGen TV, artificial intelligence, data analysis, cybersecurity, media workflows, radio innovation, cloud media, hybrid radio, sustainability, streaming, 5G and video coding, among others. The papers will be included in the BEITC Proceedings, which will also be published by PILOT, the innovation wing of the National Association of Broadcasters, on 15 April.
