Aragón TV and FITE help finance six audiovisual projects
He Teruel Investment Fund and regional television Aragon TV will make four fiction feature films, a television miniseries and a documentary a reality.
Of the thirteen projects presented, the valuation commission has selected four fiction feature films, a television miniseries and a documentary. The four feature films that will receive this financial support are The tree and the nightingale, of Miguel Ángel Lamata; At Fury, of Gemma Blasco; Cariñena, wine from the sea, of Javier Calvo, y Ancestral, of Pablo Aragües. In addition, the television miniseries will receive this aid Igor the Russian, a multiple murderer, of Mirella R. Abrisqueta, and the documentary How we conquered the west and where it took us, of Roberto Roldan. This new mechanism opened in collaboration with the Government of Aragon to finance the production of audiovisual works linked to Teruel has a game of 400.000 euros.
The Valuation Commission responsible for selecting the projects has taken into account aspects such as the artistic value or the connection with the historical, social, cultural, tourist, or any other dimension of the province of Teruel and/or its inhabitants, the promotion of the brand image of Teruel, the business and human resources committed to producers, audiovisual companies or professionals in the sector of the province of Teruel, or the carrying out of the filming in Teruel. Likewise, in the evaluation process Aspects have been analyzed such as the quality and viability of the script, the suitability of the budget and adaptation of the project for the television medium, the professional career of the applicant and the production team, the international nature of the production or the contribution of co-production contracts or national or international sales agents.
This second call for financial support from the FITE complements the one that was already resolved in October of last year in which others were selected seven audiovisual projects: fiction feature films low land, by Miguel Santesmases; ashes in the sky, by Miquel Romans, y Garcia and Garcia, by Ana Murugarren; and the documentaries Labordeta, a man without more, by Paula Labordeta and Gaizka Urresti; light years, by Javier Calvo; couples therapy, de Gaizka Urresti, y Books. The legacy of Alantansí, by José Ángel Guimerá.
Aragón TV remains open until next time May 15 a third deadline to apply for this financing mechanism to which audiovisual projects with a commitment to completion prior to November 30, 2025.
