Rodando Páginas reaches its 6th edition with more than 130 works registered
The Eugenio Trías Public Library in Madrid will host the sixth edition of 'Rodando Páginas, from the book to the screen', an initiative in which producers, distributors, television stations, platforms and editors will seek synergies between the audiovisual and publishing sectors.
134 works, national and international (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Peru), have been registered for this event that will take place on the days June 7 and 8, coinciding with the Madrid Book Fair. Among all of them, only among 14 and 16 works will be able to participate in the event, the announcement of which will be made in mid-May.
This shortlist It will allow “the best Spanish-speaking talent” to be brought to Madrid to promote meetings and promote the possibility of adapting literary works to different screens. In fact, during the last edition, more than 1,000 attendees gathered and more than 70 professional meetings were held.
A committee of experts, all active professionals, is in charge of evaluating and selecting the works that will participate in this new edition. The committee is made up of Well Souza, programmer of film festivals such as the Sundance Festival; Benito Zambrano, director and screenwriter; Fernando Pérez, film director and screenwriter; Lidia Mosquera, director, screenwriter and head of communication at Movistar+; Lola Mayo, screenwriter, producer and film teacher; Sergio Barrejon, screenwriter, film professor, and Silvia Lobo, film producer and distributor.
Sales and pitch workshop
In addition to the presentation of the selected works in pitch format, the professional meetings one to one and the round tables, the workshop “The presentation of literary works before the audiovisual sector: sales dossier and pitch” will also be given, aimed at authors, agencies or literary editors, screenwriters and students. This initiative of Rotating Pages It will offer, in a theoretical and practical way, the essential tools and techniques to improve and make more attractive the presentations, understood as key selling elements, of literary projects. It will be taught by the communication and marketing specialist Álvaro Vega, founder of the DobleSentido agency, and will take place on June 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration is free until capacity is reached through this link or on the Rodando Páginas website.
Rolling Pages is organized by the Madrid Audiovisual Association (AMA) and the Federation of Editors' Guilds of Spain (FGEE). In addition, it has the support of the Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council through the Government Area of Economy, Innovation and Employment, Book Fair, CEDRO and DAMA.
