Vaca Films begins filming the Netflix series 'Clanes' in Galicia
Clara Lago and Tamar Novas have just started filming 'Clanes', a new series produced by Vaca Films to Netflix which will be filmed over the next few months in various locations in Galicia, Malaga, Gibraltar, Algeciras, Madrid, Oporto and Senegal.
This fiction series is created by Jorge Guerricaechevarría, who also signs the script, with Roger Gual in the direction.
In Clans, a new lawyer arrives to settle in the small town of Cambados. Her name is Ana (Clara Lago) and her presence does not go unnoticed by anyone, including Daniel (Tamar Novas), son of an important drug trafficker and visible head of the “Padín clan” while his father remains in prison. Ana, with extensive experience in one of the best law firms in Madrid, has decided to start from scratch in Cambados with the intention of settling accounts with her past.
Next to Lago y Novas, the distribution is completed by Xosé Antonio Touriñán, Chechu Salgado, Melania Cruz, Miguel de Lira, Francesc Garrido, Diego Anido and María Pujalte).
Netflix has once again trusted Vaca Films for this project. Founded by Emma Lustres and Borja Pena in 2003, the production company has established itself as one of the leading production companies in Spain in the production of cinema films for both the national and international markets. Their productions have participated in the most relevant festivals (Venice, Toronto, San Sebastián or Berlin) and have won dozens of Goya Awards and other important mentions. Among his highest-grossing titles are Cell 211, El Niño, One Hundred Years of Forgiveness, The Unknown, Who Kills with Iron or Hasta el Cielo. Through its TV brand it has produced the first season of The Unit, Movistar+ series and Netflix series The mess you leave, created by Carlos Montero, and To the sky: The series, continuation of the film created by Jorge Guerricaecheverria and Daniel Calparsoro and directed by Calparsoro. Its latest releases have been the Netflix original film Infiest and the thriller FATE.
