Rodrigo Cortés finalizes 'Escape', a new feature film with Martin Scorsese as producer
The prestigious director Martin Scorsese is the executive producer of 'Escape', Rodrigo Cortés' return to Spanish, whose production will begin at the end of May.
Adrán Guerra and Núria Valles, from Nostromo Pictures, produce this film together with Rodrigo Cortés, a co-production with the French production company The Project in association with Mogambo y Cosmopolitan TV, and with the support of RTVE y Movistar Plus+. Production of the film will begin end of may and has the media name of Martin Scorsese as executive producer.
Escape, whose script is signed by Cortés himself, is a free adaptation of the novel of the same name by the Spanish writer Enrique Rubio. This is the first available synopsis of the film: “Escape revolves around N., a young man who wants to live in prison and will do whatever it takes to achieve it. The film raises questions, such as whether those who care about him will stop him from committing increasingly serious crimes and how far the judge will go to not grant him his wish.”
The new film by Rodrigo Cortes after love in its place will star Mario Casas, who will be supported by top-level names in the Spanish film scene such as Anna Castillo, José García, Guillermo Toledo, Josep María Pou, Blanca Portillo or José Sacristán.
