Warner Bros. Picture Motion Group - IBC 2023 IHFE

The centenary of the founding of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group It is the great anniversary that has led to the team of IBC 2023 to recognize the media group with the IHFE (International Honor for Excellence), the most prestigious award at the Amsterdam fair.

DVB - DVB-I 5GDVB-I, protagonist of the innovation award

On the other hand, the IBC Innovation Awards 2023 jury has announced that the winner of the 2023 Special Innovation Award is the German pilot project DVB-I, an initiative that brings together multiple stakeholders from the German media industry, including broadcasters, device manufacturers, software providers and research institutions. The aim of the project is to advance the DVB-I standard to enable the continued use of linear television programming. Participating organizations include: ARD (Association of Public Broadcasting Companies of the Federal Republic of Germany), Bayerische Medien Technik GmbH, Dolby Laboratories, DVB Project, European Broadcasting Union, Fraunhofer FOKUS, LG, Media Broadcast, MIT-xperts, ProSiebenSat.1 Media, OnScreen Publishing, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB), RTL Deutschland, SES, Sofia Digital, Sony Corporation, TARA Systems, TP Vision, Vestel, WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) and ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen). Experts from the IBC Technical Paper Committee and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) have chosen the paper that they believe represents the “most impressive” work presented at this year's IBC Conference (September 15-16).

IBC 2023 will welcome Martin Österdahl, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), who will take to the stage of the Changemakers program to collect the award and speak about the live broadcast of the event.

Finally, IBC has also announced that the Special Award 2023 al Social Impact, selected by the Social Impact Awards jury, will be awarded to the Mentoring Program of Women in Streaming Media, which focuses on professional development and personal growth goals that support business goals. Its free six-month mentoring program has contributed to the appointment of six board director positions and eleven management positions, in addition to forty-five promotions and placements.
