Evertz: AI to automate its DreamCatcher Bravo production platform at NAB 2024
NAB 2024 has hosted the presentation of the new DreamCatcher Bravo AI-based automation flows from Evertz, as well as NEXX's new support for JPEG-XS.
DreamCatcher Bravo, an all-in-one collaborative production platform that provides ingest, playback, live video/audio switching, replays or graphics, among other functions, debuts the new features Metadata y Highlight Factory. These “co-pilots” offer the ability to automatically create clips, playlists and stories using IA con large language models (LLM) and deep machine learning (ML) technology. Additionally, the system introduces the new Motion+ feature, giving production staff the “near-instant” ability to convert a single-phase camera to a multi-phase high frame for super slow-motion replays, both on-premise and in the cloud.
Another key launch from Evertz within the framework of NAB 2024 has been NEXX-IO-JXS, a universal IO module that allows JPEG XS encoding and decoding for any format and interface within the framework of the NEXX processing and routing platform. The module supports multiple uncompressed video channelsr (up to 8K) via interfaces SMPTE ST 2110 y SDI, as well as profiles JPEG XS TR-07 y TR-08. The NEXX-IO-JXS card also supports SMPTE ST 2022-7, allowing for audio embedding and de-embedding, ancillary data processing, and integrated frame synchronization. The system can be used with the NEXX-XC-B1 or the new NEXX-XC-E1 expansion crosspoint from Evertz.
Other featured solutions from Evertz at the Las Vegas show include its new range of hardware control panels for Bravo Studio: Bravo-Airfly-Pro, Bravo-Waveboard y Bravo-Waveboard-Mini, designed for operators looking for tactile control surfaces; the integration of Studer's Vista digital mixing consoles into Well done Studio; Studer's compatibility with plugins Waves FX, or the new replay platforms DC-ONE (DC-ONE-SE and DC-ONE-LX), which provide users with key features including support for 8 x 3G/HD I/O, continuous recording, 16 audio channels per input, slow motion playback, multi-angle trimming and playlist creation.
