Ricardo Cuenca - Crosspoint - DiesCrosspoint has confirmed the goodbye of Ricardo Cuenca, head of technology of the integrator part of ES Broadcast and a respected and beloved professional who helped make great projects come true in Spanish broadcast.

The news of the death of Ricardo Cuenca has been confirmed by Crosspoint through a statement on its social networks, in which it is stated that the company is writing “the most tragic page in its history.” In the text, it stands out Cuenca as “one of the brightest professionals that this industry has known” and the “enormous human quality that overflowed among all of us.”

"Crosspoint writes today the most tragic page in its history. Ricardo Cuenca, an outstanding reference in the company's progression and recognition, has abandoned us. His closest colleagues at CROSSPOINT SA and all those who also treated him within the ES Broadcast group are totally devastated by his loss. In Ricardo we have found one of the most brilliant professionals this industry has ever known, a talent to which he added an enormous human quality that overflowed among all of us.

Today the Crosspoint family feels more appreciated than ever. Colleagues, suppliers, clients and friends, you are sending us your loving messages, and only the return trips motivated by the visit to NAB of several of us is preventing us from being able to respond to you as you deserve.

From Crosspoint we join in condolences to his family and friends, and take the opportunity to share that his body will be cremated tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. in the Almudena cemetery, in Madrid [NdR: The post, written on the night of April 18, calls for the farewell to take place at 12:30 on April 19]. After training at the EUIT Telecommunications of the Polytechnic University of Madrid as a technical image and sound engineer, Cuenca went on to work as head of audiovisuals of the Royal Theater of Madrid from 1998 to 2005. Afterwards, he began an extensive career in Blade which would lead him to occupy the role of engineer until 2011, and then assume the role of engineering director of Aspa Stagetec Brazil.

After a one-year stint as an engineer in Salzbrenner Stagetec VPA, returned to Madrid to be a pre-sales engineer for Crosspoint, a position from which he worked on ambitious projects of all kinds. Since September 2023, Cuenca held the position of head of technology, a position that allowed him to be at the vanguard of the latest technologies in the broadcast field in order to help engineering equipment of the main radio and television stations in Spain.
