Supercinemas inaugurates a multiplex with Christie solutions

Supercines, the largest cinema chain in Ecuador, has inaugurated the ten-screen Supercines Orellana complex equipped with cinema solutions from Christie, including RGB pure laser projectors, Christie Vive Audio and LCD digital signage displays.

The operation has been carried out through the integrator T&T Cinema which has supplied and installed all Christie equipment in the brand new complex.

Supercines is a client with a long relationship with Christie and a good part of its cinemas are equipped with projectors, sound and digital signage from the brand. Marcel Moran, general manager of Supercines, acknowledges that “we decided to trust Christie again for this new complex since we have the experience of several previous projects in which we have had great results and great brand reliability.”

Supercines Orellana, located in Guayaquil province of Guayas, has capacity for 1,539 spectators and includes VIP rooms, reclining leather seats and personalized service. Nine of its ten rooms have Christie RGB pure laser projectors of the models CP2415-RGB y CP2309-RGB based on Christie Real|Laser lighting technology, which guarantees excellent image quality and brightness levels above DCI standards throughout the natural life of the equipment.

“We decided on pure RGB laser technology for this complex since these projectors allow images to be displayed with better quality thanks to their wide range of colors, allowing us to provide a more realistic experience to our clients,” says Morán. “This is one of the best ranges of laser projectors on the market, also highlighting its easy use, maintenance, stability, reliability and constant technical monitoring,” he adds.

For the sound of the 10 rooms of the new complex, Supercines has chosen Christie Vive Audio, including 130 altavoces LS2 line source y LS2S line source surround. "The choice of the Christie Vive Audio system, which we already have installed in our Ceibos, Riocentro Quito and Ambato complexes, was due to the excellent quality and clarity in each of its channels, providing us with a very detailed experience in all the sounds it transmits. This accompanied by a minimalist design that brings a lot of elegance to the rooms leaves us very happy to be able to continue maintaining this choice that is very in line with what we are looking for in Supercines, which is nothing more than a great experience for our customers," comments Marcel Moran.

In addition, Supercines Orellana has also trusted in the technology of Christie digital signage to encourage their lobbies. Thus, the complex has deployed 50 panels LCD Christie UHD552-L the 55” and resolution 4K UHD that allow you to offer a more digital, lively and innovative image to your clients. With these panels, Supercines now has a total of almost 200 Christie LCD displays distributed throughout its different complexes.

On the other hand, the exhibition chain has been embarking on the renewal of all its Xenon projection systems by RGB laser technology projectors in its El Dorado and 6 de Diciembre complexes, for which it has also trusted Christie.

Supercines, belonging to Corporación El Rosado, has 25 cinema complexes in 15 cities in the country that add up to almost 200 screens, constituting the largest cinema chain in Ecuador.
