AEQ's Forum IP console comes to 999SWR radio (Australia)

The main studio of the Australian station 999SWER, based in Blacktown and covering most of the greater Sydney area, has been revamped with the Forum IP console from AEQ.

Radio 999SWR is a community radio station founded in 1981 aimed at covering a wide range of musical styles through local access programs, although it also broadcasts informative programs, formats presented by different groups or content in languages other than English. Recently, the company's technical management decided to renew its main studio with the console AEQ Forum Split for reasons such as its “ease of use, robustness of operation and high audio quality.”

The Forum IP Split the AEQ It is a mixing console designed for the control of on-air emissions. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic cut-off of monitors, cough cut-off, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications or intercommunication, among others. With a design modular and small size, The Forum IP adapts perfectly to different scenarios such as self-control, studio control, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations or integration in large installations.

Integrated and commissioned by Broadcast Components, the 999SWR Forum IP Split integrates the FR Core modular engine into 3 rack units. It can be composed of up to 6 quad fader modules, and a control and monitoring unit. Additionally, they can be equipped with multichannel input and output cards. AoIP compatible with the new AES67 protocol through technology Dante. Through this connectivity, signals can be collected and delivered to other consoles, routers, and other input and output terminal equipment from more than 300 different manufacturers. You can also choose MADI connectivity, and it can be equipped with up to two internal digital telephone hybrids.
