The XR Namsan studio (Seoul) bets on Genie, LaON's matrix-free intercom

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has remodeled the Namsan Creation Center, a former performance rehearsal hall, into an XR virtualized production studio equipped with innovative solutions such as Genie, the matrix-less intercom. LaOn.

Giantstep, a provider of real-time content solutions, has been the company in charge of the construction and later exploitation of the renewed Namsan XR Studio Seoul, now converted into further XR studies of the South Korean capital. Facing the intercom area, Giantstep needed a solution decentralized IP intercom instead of a traditional matrix system. After studying the market, the company decided on the digital IP intercom system Genie of LaON, which includes a base station BS1000, 4 IP key panels GRP8 and 26 wireless beltpacks BP850.

Miyoun Park, Sales Director at LaON Technology, provides more details on the LaON deployment at the Namsan 128 connections as well as 128 wireless beltpack connections per system. This is a studio that doesn't have communication needs as demanding as those of a stadium, for example, but it has a lot of production staff who need to join in and oversee communication.
