Leticia Dolera begins filming 'Pubertat', Max Original series

Max and the Catalan public broadcaster 3Cat (CCMA) come together in the production of original 'Pubertat', a series created, directed and performed by Leticia Dolera whose filming has already begun.

Puberty, composed of 6 chapters and filmed in Catalan, begins a journey of 13 weeks of filming in various Catalan locations with the aim of seeing the light in 2025 on Max and 3Cat. The series is presented as a drama familiar which explores the weight of taboo and psychological inheritance passed down from generation to generation. Among other issues, the format questions whether a 13-year-old child can be a sexual aggressor and, if so, whose responsibility would be: the child, the family or society. At the same time, the story explores parent-child relationships and how these constitute one's own personal identity.

The series, created, directed, written and performed by Leticia Dolera, has had Almudena Monzú as co-writer of four of the six chapters. Regarding the cast, the fiction stars Leticia Dolera (perfect life, Requirements to be a normal person), Xavi Sáez (perfect life; The innocent), Betsy Túrnez (Perfect Life, The one-eyed king), Alexandra Russo, David Vert (Like it was yesterday, The innocent), Biel Durán (I know who you are, Right to dream), Anna Alarcón (Welcome to Eden, The innocent), Lluís Marco (iron hand, The heirs of the land) and Vicky Peña (Freedom, Piedras), among others. The teenage cast is mainly made up of debut actors aged 13 and 14, and Carla Quílez (The maternal).

In a social context where on the one hand everything is pornified and objectified and on the other hand sex and intimacy remain taboo, how do adolescents approach something as intimate and radical as sexuality? How do we, adults, do it? Are we prepared to accompany them? That is why I have written Puberty, to share all these concerns and try to shed some light on this issue.”

Puberty it's a series Max Original, produced by Miriam Porté to Distinto Films y Oriol Maymó to Film Making and Uri Films, in co-production with 3Cat and the participation of Max.
