Mediaset España and Plano a Plano shoot 'She, damn soul' in Cádiz
Produced by Mediaset Spain in collaboration with Plano a Plano and created by Aurora Guerra, 'She, damn soul' is a fiction series based on a story by Galician writer Manuel Rivas and featuring actors Maxi Iglesias, Martiño Rivas and Karina Kolokolchykova leading the artistic cast.
The series, which is filmed in Cádiz, has César Benítez, Álvaro Benítez, Emilio Amaré and Arantxa Écija in charge of production executive and under the direction of Iñaki Mercero and Javier Quintas.
She, damn soul tells the story of impossible love between two people who fight with all their might to refuse to succumb to feelings that overwhelm them: Fermín (Maxi Iglesias), a charismatic priest; and Ana (Karina Kolokolchykova), the wife of his cousin Isaac (Martiño Rivas), almost his brother, whose family welcomed him since childhood and who is, without knowing it, the third vertex of this complex love triangle.
While the main plot presents the viewer with an amalgam of conflicting values and feelings such as love, family, passion, guilt, betrayal and loyalty, the series draws a portrait of society through the daily lives of a rich range of secondary characters, their relationships, motivations and concerns; the peculiarities of La Isleta, the imaginary town in which it takes place; a subplot of politics and corruption intrigue; and references to current events through elements such as the war in Ukraine or multiculturalism.
