Manuel Ramírez succeeds Félix Bergés as head of El Ranchito
Félix Bergés, founder of The Ranchito, will take a back seat in the new stage of the visual effects company, leaving the presidency to Manuel Ramírez, current director of the studio.
Ramirez will assume the daily operations of the studio with the vision of positioning Spain as a key visual effects center on the global stage. Bergés, who has been instrumental in the growth and success of the studio, will take on a role “more reserved”, but will continue to support the company development and strategic direction in this new stage.
Manuel Ramirez, reference of the visual effects industry with more than 20 years of experience, assumes the position of president after having been director of the studio. During his time in this role, he has been instrumental in driving both the creative success like him operational from El Ranchito. Ramírez joined the company in 2015 to create and lead the effects department, and quickly became a vital part of the company. Subsequently, he assumed additional responsibilities as VFX head, supervising operations, I+D and the development of pipeline.
In his first statements as president of El Ranchito, Ramirez ha definido como un “honor” el asumir “este nuevo desafío”. “Estoy emocionado de liderar El Ranchito en esta nueva etapa, con el objetivo de fortalecer nuestra presencia global y seguir creando un ambiente donde el talento creativo pueda prosperar”, ha comentado. Bergés, por su parte, afirma sentirse “muy cómodo” dejando la empresa en las “capaces manos de Manuel, apoyado por un equipo excepcional que comparte la misma visión”.
The CEO of Pitch Black Sébastien Bergeron, a group that includes El Ranchito and other VFX companies such as FuseFX, FOLKS or Rising Sun Pictures, shares this confidence: "Félix has done an extraordinary job establishing El Ranchito as a reference visual effects studio, not only in Spain but worldwide, offering exceptional work to its clients. I am sure that Manuel is the perfect person to lead El Ranchito in its next chapter."
