Movistar Plus+ will broadcast, exclusively in Spain, all SailGP regattas
The flying catamarans participating in the SailGP, the most exciting race on water, can be followed exclusively for Spain during the 2025 season through the platform Movistar Plus+.
The 2025 season of this annual championship that travels across five continents starts this coming weekend in Dubai and will continue until November 30, 2025 in Abu Dhabi. Movistar Plus+ will exclusively broadcast the entire competition, with the races on both Saturday and Sunday. This November 23 and 24 starting at 11:00 a.m., Deportes 3 on M+ will offer the inaugural event from Dubai.
SailGP, a competition that will travel through the waters of Europe, America, Asia and Oceania, has 14 tests spread across some of the most iconic cities around the world. Among them is Cádiz, which will host the Spain Sail Grand Prix on October 4 and 5 | Andalusia-Cádiz, where almost 100,000 spectators gathered last year.
SailGP will have the participation of 12 nations: Spain, the current champion, Australia, Emirates Great Britain, Germany, Black Foils (New Zealand), United States, NorthStar (Canada), Italy, Mubadala Brazil, Rockwool Denmark, Switzerland and France (which will join the season in the second event on the calendar, the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix | Auckland).
The arrival of SailGP to Movistar Plus+ coincides at a time when the competition will experience a boom in Spain since the national team emerged as the winner of the fourth season.
He spanish team SailGP, which holds the record of being the youngest in the competition, is led by the pair formed by pilot Diego Botín and wing trimmer Florian Trittel. In addition, the team is made up of top-level athletes, such as flight controller Joel Rodríguez, tactician and grinder Joan Cardona, strategist Nicole van der Velden and grinder Bernardo Freitas.
