'El 47' sweeps the Gaudí 2025 awards with eight awards
Eight awards, including best film and the audience award, elevate 'El 47' at the Gaudí Awards, the highest recognitions awarded annually by the Academy of the Catalan Cinema.
Top favorite of the Gaudí 2025 con 18 nominations, The 47 (The Mediapro Studio) by Marcel Barrena has triumphed in the great night of Catalan cinema with a total of eight awards: best movie, best male lead (Eduard Fernandez), best production direction, best supporting actress (Clara Segura), best costumes, best visual effects, best makeup and hair, and the special audience award. The film, fantastically positioned in the race for the Goya 2025, tells the story of Manolo Vital, bus driver who fought for this means of public transport to reach the Torre Baró neighborhood in Barcelona.
The rest of the awards have been widely distributed in a particularly notable year for Catalan cinema. Dust will be has been recognized with awards from best film in a non-Catalan language, best art direction, best editing (Chiara Dainese) and original music. Second prize, by Isaki Lacuesta and Pol Rodríguez, has elevated Gaudí to the best direction, best photography (Takuro Takeuchi) y better sound. Dani's comedy from the Order House in flames It has also won three awards: best leading actress (Emma Vilarasau), best supporting actor (Enric Auquer) and best original screenplay.
The series of winners closes with the film about motherhood Hail Mary, winner of best script e revelation interpretation (Laura Weissmahr); a common place, whose director, Celia Giraldo, has won the award for best new direction; Diary of my sextortion by Patricia Franquesa, best documentary film; black butterflies, best animated film; the prince by Alex Sardà, best short film, y Anatomy of a fall by Justine Triet, best european film.
