Shinichi Yoshida will lead the new stage of Canon EMEA
Canon EMEA has named Shinichi “Sam” Yoshida president and CEO, taking over from Yuichi Izhizuka who is retiring after 7 years in the position and a 44-year career with the company.
Yoshida He accesses this position from his position in USA as executive vice president and general manager of the marketing strategy unit, president and CEO of Cannon Solutions America and Canon Financial Services. Assuming his new responsibilities effective March 1, 2025, Yoshida will lead a commercial organization that maintains operations in 120 countries, employs, approximately, 12.300 personas and contributes about a quarter of Canon's annual global profit.
Yoshida has been given the task of Strengthen and grow existing core businesses, while leveraging the brand's reputation in imaging and printing technology and solutions expertise to expand into new areas such as B2B imaging, industrial and commercial printing, and information management solutions. To this end, Yoshida has extensive experience in manufacturing, innovation and recycling, as he was part of the original team that established Canon Virginia, Canon's main manufacturing center in America.
"Canon leads the imaging and printing technologies market in EMEA with millions of customers. This diverse and exciting region is full of opportunities and I am honored to lead the business through the next phase of innovation and growth," said Yoshida in his first comments as head of Canon EMEA.
