Raul GarciaBoomerang TV (Mediawan group) has appointed Raúl García executive director of Programs, replacing Encarna Pardo in the position. In his new position, García will promote the company's strategy in the Non-Fiction area.

García has extensive experience in the sector. He was part of the Boomerang TV team at its founding, in 1998. For eight years, he held the position of Content Director of the production company and was responsible for the creation, implementation and monitoring of successful formats television like Patricia's Diary o The Hour of Truth (Antenna 3), Pink Sauce (Telecinco), Lend me your life (TVE) o I am the one who knows the most about TV in the world (Four), as well as more than twenty programs on regional television.

As general director of the production company Mandarina (2006-2009) launched various current affairs and heart programs, as well as the documentary Miguel Ángel Blanco: the day they killed me, awarded the Journalism Award from the Victims of Terrorism Foundation.

García began his television career in the mid-90s on Antena 3, being part of Jesús Hermida's team. After years at Boomerang TV and Mandarina, he returned to Atresmedia in 2010 to direct an Internal Production and Format Development Unit. From that position, he was commissioned in 2012 to design, create and launch Hola TV, a joint project of the magazine ¡Hola! and the Atresmedia group that launched a cable channel for Latin America and the United States, based in Miami. As VP of Original Production and Content, he was responsible for the creation of the Program Production department, designing and launching various in-house production spaces. Back in Spain, and for the last ten years, he has directed ¡Hola! Media, audiovisual division of the publishing group.

Raúl García has a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University, a master's degree in Journalism and International Relations from the Journalists in Europe Foundation (Paris) and a master's degree in Communication Management and Business Management from the IE-Instituto de Empresa de Madrid.

The new director of the Program Area states that "I return with great enthusiasm to what was my home for eight years. In this new stage, I will work actively to promote the Program Area to enhance its role as a great Production machine on all national and regional television stations and streaming platforms."
