Atresmedia will take advantage of Google Cloud technology to develop and implement AI solutions

The group Atresmedia has closed a collaboration agreement with Google Cloud in its commitment to innovation in the media industry and the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

This collaboration is based on a strong existing relationship between the two companies. Atresmedia was the first operator in Spain to integrate its Atresplayer streaming service into the Google ecosystem through Nest and Google TV devices, using Google Cloud. Now, Atresmedia and Google Cloud take their collaboration to the next level by exploring the transformative potential of AI.

José María Martínez, Director of Production and CTO of Atresmedia, comments that "Atresmedia has important challenges associated with the capabilities of AI to lead innovation in the media industry, as well as in the production and distribution of audiovisual content. Google Cloud is a strategic technology provider to develop and implement Atresmedia projects, which include solutions that will improve our operations and provide new and better experiences to our viewers, users and clients."

Atresmedia is already developing initiatives with Google Cloud, including a automatic content dubbing that are currently only available in Spanish, as well as a system that will improve the efficiency and quality of the audio description of the contents. In addition, it is already exploring different applications of using AI in other areas.
