Under the direction of María Martínez Bayona, who debuts as a director with her own script, The Mediapro Studio US&Canada y BBC Films They have started filming the feature film 'The end of it' in the Canary Islands.

The cast includes Rebecca Hall (The Listeners, Christine, Vicky Christina Barcelona), Garcia Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle, Time, And Your Mom Too), Noomi Rapace (Lamb, Prometheus, Millennium: The Men Who Didn't Love Women) y Beanie Feldstein (Super Nerds, Lady Bird, The Making of a Girl).

In the film set in a near future where aging is curable and death is optional, Claire (Rebecca Hall), a former provocation artist who is about to turn 250, decides that she has had enough: she wants to die. Her decision will cause conflicts with her husband (Gael García Bernal), her daughter (Noomi Rapace) and her artificial intelligence assistant (Beanie Feldstein), revealing the complexity, not without humor, of their relationships. Claire takes advantage of her imminent death to reclaim her role as an artist, which will force her to confront the meaning of dying, of living, and the crazy absurdity of it all.

"This film raises a question: what would it mean to live forever? And what is more important: what does it mean to feel alive? A deeply human, paradoxical and also absurd question. I am very excited to embark on this journey with such an incredible cast and crew, and with partners who are always by our side," commented the London-based Catalan director, María Martínez Bayona.
