Nevion - CEO Heidi Mello Stavnar

Thomas Heinzer, founder of Nevion (Sony), decides to take a step back from leading the company to hand over his position as CEO to Heidi Mello Stavnar, until now chief financial officer.

Thomas Heinzer founded Network Electronics, the company that eventually became Nevion, in Sandefjord (Norway) in 1996. Since then, he has assumed various management positions within the company. Following Sony's acquisition of Nevion in 2020, Heinzer has focused on the post-merger integration (PMI) until the beginning of this year, when he confirmed his intention to leave his position at the end of the current financial year, which ends on March 31, 2026.

"As the founder of the company, it was extremely important to me that Nevion prospered within Sony, particularly by leveraging Sony's fantastic technology and global reach in the market. I am pleased that Nevion is now in a good position, with excellent collaborations at all levels between the companies, so it is time for me to take things more slowly! I leave Nevion knowing that the company is in good hands with Heidi at the helm," he commented.

Heidi Mello Stavnar He joined Nevion in 2006, holding various management positions in finance, administration and human resources. As current financial director, Mello has been actively involved with Thomas in the PMI process: "I am obviously very excited at the prospect of leading the company that has been a part of my life for many years. I look forward to building on the excellent work that Thomas has done and achieving continued growth for the company, contributing to the success of our clients and partners. Nevion is also Great Place to Work certified, and fostering our 'anything is possible' culture remains key to achieving those goals."

“On behalf of all of us at Nevion, I would like to thank Thomas for his immense achievements during his 30 years at Nevion and wish him the best in this new stage of his life,” Mello concludes.
