DirectOut ACE

DirectOut adds ACE to its range of intelligent audio platforms. With a compact design designed to seamlessly fit a wide range of professional workflows, from playback applications and drive racks to fully custom processing equipment, ACE combines high-end performance, intelligent redundancy and comprehensive connectivity in a portable, travel-ready form factor.

Luca Giaroli, CEO of DirectOut, highlights that "ACE brings the power and reliability of our flagship Prodigy series to a device small enough to fit in your backpack. It is designed to instantly adapt to different workflows, while delivering the performance that professionals expect from DirectOut."

This highly portable audio solution benefits from the Prodigy and Maven intelligence with functionality that can be expanded with each application. At the heart of ACE are dedicated ACE modes: interfaces globcon Designed specifically for pro audio workflows, ranging from vertically optimized configurations for common applications to a completely open environment for custom signal path design.

There will be three modes available– Users select their preferred ACE mode at activation and can freely switch between modes as requirements evolve, expanding functionality through additional perpetual licenses:

  • Modo Playback- Quick configuration of main and backup computers, voice processing inserts and optimized output routing, with integrated support for EARS (Enhanced Automatic Redundancy Switching).
  • PA Mode- A complete amplifier rack solution providing immediate access to EQ, dynamics, delays and native integration with Smaart, with pre-configured signal flows and redundant input management for live sound stages and system tuning.
  • Modo Prodigy- Full access to the same globcon interface as the PRODIGY and MAVEN series, offering complete freedom to design custom signal paths using advanced routing, mixing, summing, snapshots and redundancy functions.

Claudio Becker Foss, technical director at DirectOut, highlights that “by combining the same FPGA core as our Prodigy series with specifically designed ACE modes, we offer engineers instant access to workflows optimized for their specific application, while retaining the option to create fully custom signal paths when necessary.” “ACE has a compact design, but without sacrificing capacity,” he emphasizes.

ACE compatible con MADI, Audio over IP (native versions of Dante or Milan), AES3 and high-quality analog I/O. To simplify system configuration and design, ACE users have access to Ask.DirectOut, DirectOut's own AI-powered support service available 24/7.
