RTVE will shape the new musical competition 'Hitster' from its studios in Sant Cugat
Fremantle Netherlands, NewBe y Jumbo Group are the creative managers of 'Hitster: the greatest hits game', a new musical competition produced by RTVE y Fremantle from Sant Cugat in which the contestants must build a timeline of iconic musical themes.
In this adaptation of eponymous board game, two teams, made up of players from different generations, face each other to build a musical timeline placing hit songs in chronological order according to the year of their release. The first team to correctly place ten topics on their timeline will advance to the exciting ending to get a cash prize.
With this new contest, RTVE is committed to entertainment “of quality” with a “positive and family” approach. Hitster: the greatest hits game has been designed to “generate shared reactions, moments full of joy and a festive and participatory atmosphere." To do this, it will combine "legendary and contemporary" themes, some of them presented with musical performances.
After making the leap to television and becoming the most successful prime time entertainment premiere on the German network RTL of the last five years, the format continues its international expansion, with local adaptations already confirmed in the Netherlands and Canada. Produced by RTVE in collaboration with Fremantle, this new family musical competition will be recorded at the Sant Cugat production center. own Fremantle owns the international production and distribution rights.
