Argentina's Video Communication Systems celebrates a quarter of a century
Video Communication Systems (SVC) celebrates 25 years as a benchmark in the broadcast market in Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay, representing numerous top brands, serving its clients with a large team of professionals, engineers and technicians.
Led by Domingo Simonetta, Sistemas de Video Comunicación (SVC) is an Argentine company dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for the broadcast television, film, video, professional audio and multimedia industries born in the city of Buenos Aires on May 7, 1985. At that time it presented the first computer specifically dedicated to video post-production, delivering more than 30 units of the Fairlight Computer Video Instrument (CVI) with 4-bit processing.
During the first years of the company, the serious intention of being at the forefront of the broadcast market is evident. The professionalism with which each challenge is undertaken leads to the representation of Ikegami, one of its most important brands.
In 1992, SVC presented the first non-linear editing system, based on a hard disk, Avid's Media Composer, which revolutionized the market, contributing to the profound change that occurred in the history of television. In 1995, and continuing with the characteristic of setting the course in the industry, he opened the CATEC division, Center for Art and Digital Techniques, through which he provides training in new technologies. In 1998, SVC began its expansion into the professional audio market, being designated Digidesign Master Distributor for Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. At that time, it opened the professional audio division, called the Digital Audio Group.
In August 2000 the company renewed its identity. It defines a new logo and inaugurates modern offices on Av. Álvarez Thomas 198 where it carries out its activities to this day. In 2007, it opened a new division called Digital Video Group, with the aim of serving the important and growing segment of the Pro Consumer market.
At 25 years old, SVC is today a reference in the region, finding Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay its main markets in which it distributes top brands such as Anton Bauer, Autoscript, Avid, AVP, Canare, Digital Rapids, Etere, For-A, Gefen, Ikegami, JVC ProHD, Leader, Lite Panels, Miranda, Marshall, Nevion, Omneon, Orad, Sachtler, Steadicam, Telestream, T-Vips, Vinten, Secced, Varizoom, Ikan, Arcvision, Apogge and Waves.
Finally, it should be noted that SVC has a team made up of highly trained engineers, technicians and professionals who provide pre- and post-sales advisory services on engineering projects, systems integration, technical support and training.
