BRB Internacional produces in live action this historical miniseries of two 75-minute episodes for Spanish Television based on the novel of the same name by Teresa Viejo.
BRB International has just completed filming the film The memory of water. A miniseries of two episodes, 75 minutes each, made for Spanish Television in collaboration with Pontas and based on the novel of the same name by journalist Teresa Viejo. Reality and fiction come together around the legendary La Isabela Spa, the Royal Site that brought together the Spanish gentry of the early 20th century before disappearing under the waters of the Buendía Reservoir. Directed by Manuel Estudillo, the TV-movie stars Natalia Sánchez and Tamar Novas leading an outstanding cast of actors.
After an elaborate work of documentation, location, props, costumes and filming, The Memory of Water manages to portray the bourgeois society of the roaring 20s with this series that revolves around the custom of drinking water that was widespread at the time. Its plot reflects an environment of luxuries, passions, habits... but also misfortunes, betrayals, crimes and disappointments where one senses a future of unavoidable changes in the history of Spain.
The filming of The Memory of Water places the action in retrospect, between the first and last third of the last century. The work is executive produced by Claudio Biern Boyd and the participation in the script by Teresa Viejo. Among its main performers are, in addition to Natalia Sánchez (Amada Montemayor) and Tamar Novas (Lucas), Frances Luchetti (Ginés Fuentes), Lola Marceli (Adela, la Parisina), Ana Álvarez (Ana, Sra. de Retuerto), Aitor Mazo (Ernesto Montemayor), ... as well as three of the actresses from the legendary Studio-1 of TVE: Ana María Vidal (Amada Montemayor elderly), Amparo Pamplona (Sonsoles de la Cruz) and Carmen de la Maza (Mercedes).
