Chilean Claudio Miranda wins the Oscar for best photography with 'Life of Pi'

Miranda had already won the Oscar for 'The Strange Case of Benjamin Button'. The first tie since 1969 has forced two awards to be handed out in the sound editing category.

Chilean cinematographer Claudio Miranda won the Oscar for Best Cinematography for the film life of pi. Miranda had already won the Oscar for The strange case of Benjamin Button.

On Hollywood's big night, Disney has won two Oscars in the field of animation. The first, for Best Animated Short by The Paperman, by John Kahrs who has masterfully combined digital and traditional animation. For its part, Brave, won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

Life of Pi has won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects; Les Miserables He has won an Oscar for Makeup and Hairdressing; and the Oscar for Best Costume Design went to Anna Karenina, leaving the Spaniard Paco Delgado the doors for Les Misérables. In editing, William Goldenberg has won a statuette for his work on Argo.

Tie in sound

One of the most surprising moments of the 85th Academy Awards in Hollywood occurred when Mark Whalberg announced a tie in the sound editing category, a circumstance that had not occurred for no less than 44 years.
