Manuel Ventero, director of Radio Nacional since June 201, will in turn replace Nasarre in the direction of Communication and Institutional Relations in the Corporation.

Alfonso NasarreAt its meeting today, the Board of Directors of the RTVE Corporation approved the proposal of its president, Leopoldo González-Echenique, to appoint Alfonso Nasarre as the new Director of National Radio of Spain and Manuel Ventero as the new Director of Communication and Institutional Relations. Both exchange their current responsibilities within the Corporation's Management Committee to give a boost to these areas for the next season.

Manuel Ventero, once the launch of the new Radio 5 has been completed and having coordinated the integration of the Territorial Centers of RNE and TVE, begins to carry out the Directorate of Communication and Institutional Relations of RTVE to project and enhance the image of the Corporation in its relationship with the rest of the media, public and private institutions and energize the internal communication of the Company, Corporate Responsibility and coordinate the work of the three basic pillars of the Corporation: TVE, RNE and RTVE.es

Alfonso Nasarre assumes the direction of National Radio of Spain to launch new projects and a new programming grid for the next season, in such a way that the national public radio consolidates the backbone role it plays and maintains and increases the recognition and support of the audience.

Alfonso Nasarre

Alfonso Nasarre (Madrid, 1958), director of Communication and Institutional Relations of RTVE since July 2012, married, has a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid.

As a journalist, he has developed a good part of his professional career at Cadena Cope, where he began as an editor and later served as editor-in-chief of Information Services and parliamentary reporter. In his second stage within the same network he was director of Antena and director of Communication and External Relations, a position he held until arriving at RTVE. Between both responsibilities, from 1997 to 2000 he was advisor to the Secretary of State for Communication; and from 2000 to 2004, general director of National Communication, of the Ministry of the Government Spokesperson.

Manuel Ventero, director of Radio Nacional since June 2012, has been an RTVE professional since 1985. Doctor from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid, Master in Business Management and Administration, Graduate in Communication, and Social Graduate from the University of Salamanca.

He directed RNE's Information Services between July 2000 and May 2004. In addition, he has been territorial director of RNE in Andalusia and of the Seville station between 1998 and 2000. Before, he directed the RNE stations in Marbella (1991-1994), Almería (1994-1996) and Granada (1996-1997). He joined RTVE by competitive examination in 1985. His professional career has developed mainly in radio, although he has professional experience in both the press and television as a political analyst.

He has been a professor at the Juan Carlos University since 2004 and author of the books 'The King's Christmas Messages' (2011), 'The Sound of the Constitution. 25 years of history' (2004) and 'Testimonies about Safety and Health at Work' (1998). He has been awarded the 'Antena de Oro' from the Spanish Federation of Radio and Television Associations on two occasions for the programs 'Siluetas' (2009) and 'The Sound of the Constitution' (2004). Since 2004 he directed and presented the interview program 'Siluetas', on Radio Nacional de España and in June 2012 he was appointed director of RNE.
