Atresmedia HeadquartersAtresmedia has just joined the Media Corporate Social Responsibility Forum (Media CSR Forum), which makes it the first Spanish communication group to be part of this forum made up of some of the largest international communication companies - Aegis Media, The BBC, BSkyB, Channel 4, Guardian Media Group, Hibu, Informa, IPC Media, ITV, Modern Times Group, News International, Pearson, Random House, Reed Elsevier, TF1 Group, Trinity Mirror, Turner Broadcasting, United Business Media and Virgin Media- and specialized in Corporate Responsibility (CR) in the media sector.

Created in 2001 to respond to the specific characteristics of the media sector in terms of Corporate Responsibility, the Media CSR Forum's main objectives are to study the implications of CR in the media, share good practices between companies in the sector, develop specific research on CR and the media, undertake joint collaboration projects, etc.
Recently, the Forum has launched two reports on CR and media: “Does it matter?”, dedicated to analyzing material ESG (economic, social and governance) issues for the media sector and “Mirrors or Movers: Framing the debate about the impact of media content”, on the role of the media in society and the impact of the content they generate.

The forum, which meets periodically in London, will hold its next meeting on October 16 at the ITV production center, which Atresmedia will already attend as a new member.

The incorporation of Atresmedia to the Media CSR Forum represents another step in its firm commitment to Corporate Responsibility, a matter that has intensified in recent years to integrate ethical and responsibility values ​​in each and every one of the Group's activities. Thus, the Group works to put the dissemination capacity of its media at the service of society by supporting different campaigns and entities (Food Bank, Red Cross, Children's Villages, WWF Adena, Greenpeace...) that contribute to helping solve the problems that concern society.

In addition, it develops its own corporate responsibility projects such as Put the brakes on it, The growth spurt and Become Echo, who seek tangible results in society.

For its part, the Atresmedia Foundation channels a large part of the company's social action and develops projects for groups as vulnerable as children, youth and people with disabilities, through projects that encourage their listening and participation.

Also through Corporate Volunteering, the Group makes the potential and professional skills of the company's employees available to associations and NGOs that work with different groups and on various social problems.
