AEQ both in the form of audiocodec for communications over ISDN and hybrids for standard telephone lines, and coinciding with the beginning of the 21st century, it acquired more than 140 licenses for the AEQ Mar4Win automation system. Currently, within the largest modernization project of the state radio organization integrated into ICRT, AEQ has supplied 76 audio mixing consoles to equip as many studios distributed throughout the territory of Cuba.
The project has been executed in two phases, the first part consisting of 42 AEQ Opera model analog consoles to be installed in the regional radio centers located in the different provinces of Cuba, and another 7 AEQ Arena model digital consoles for the central studios in the City of Havana.
The second phase of this ambitious project, which has recently been completed, includes the supply of another 27 AEQ Opera model analog consoles to be installed in the remaining regional radio centers in the country. This console designed as a natural successor to the successful AEQ BC500, has the latest technologies with new added functions, being capable of producing impeccable quality sound 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. AEQ Opera is the perfect tool for large and medium-sized radio stations, presenting a new updated design in an elegant black color, a distribution of controls that allows easy and intuitive operation, and thanks to its modular design it can be configured exactly according to the needs of each client and application, in addition to allowing simple maintenance in the event of any incident, without ever leaving Onair.
The entire start-up and installation process has been led by the technical director of ICRT Calixto Rodríguez and by the person responsible for new projects of the entity Rodolfo Perez Alamino, together with the AEQ engineers and technicians who traveled to Cuba.
The entire project has been coordinated by ICRT by Antonio Hernández as Import Director, in close collaboration with AEQ Export Director Gustavo Robles.
