First 35 mm full frame target with motorized zoom
The Fe Pz Objective 28-135mm F4 G OSS (SELP28135G) of Motorized Zoom and Complete Fotogram presents a new design of ‘soft movement optics’ for professional filmmakers.
Sony It now offers photographers and filmmakers a new and powerful tool that favors creativity: the first complete frame objective with motorized zoom for mount E of the α camera system.
Designed and manufactured following standard solids, the FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS (SELP28135G) model offers enormous possibilities of expression to videos and films filmmakers. It is the ideal couple for α7s cameras of 35 mm full frame, which captures countless details with great perfection, either in snapshots, videos in 4K or full HD.
The SELP28135G model is compatible with all the cameras and camcorder with Sony E mount. Its focal distance reaches a range even greater than 42-202.5mm (equivalent to 35mm) when installed on devices with an APS-C sensor. For example, α6000/α5100 cameras and Sony Super 35mm format camcorders, suitable for professionals, such as Nex-FS700 or the new PXW-FS7.
A constant maximum F4 opening allows cinema filmmakers and photographers to achieve incredible effects with field depth and stable exposure control throughout the zoom range, from the wide angle to the teleobjective.
With the new philosophy of Sony's soft movement optics ’, the needs of professional filmmakers are covered. Having as a priority obtaining the best possible quality of image with large sensor cameras, this advanced optomechanical design addresses three vital problems for film filmmakers: the change of the vision angle (‘Breathing’) during the approach, the approach variations during the zoom and the movement of the optical axis during the zoom.
In addition, the elements of the aspherical lenses eliminate unwanted aberration, and advanced multirevestation technology enhances the contrast and reduces the brightness, even in scenes with strong contraluz.
The management and ergonomics of SELP28135G have inherited from Sony's professional cameras for television and radio chains and for cinema. Three separate rings offer independent control over the approach, zoom and opening (IRIS), with an optimal turn that guarantees a professional sensation with a surprising response capacity. Even the tilt of rings has been thoroughly designed for a comfortable anti -slip tactile control.
Equipped with a SSM approach, for the first time in the sector, the zoom is exceptionally soft and silent, essential in professional film production. Zoom speed can be controlled precisely in a wide range, and zoom rotation can be changed according to your personal preference.
In addition, the approach noise has been minimized by reducing the weight of the group of focus elements and incorporating a double linear engine with great response capacity. As additional sophistication, the focus mode can be changed automatic to manual simply sliding the focus ring, without having to feel to find the focus mode switch in full recording.
The excellence of their optical performance and their ease of handling are complemented by a dust and humidity design, so that the objective is ideal for exterior use. The optical Steadyshot mechanism provides additional versatility by guaranteeing the stability of the image during a camera filming in hand. Despite its heavyweight credentials, the compact dimension and the reduced weight of the objective are especially ideal in recordings in which maximum mobility is required.
