The heart of DSpatial is a proprietary physical modeling system that allows you to recreate real or imaginary sound spaces, freely moving the sound sources and the listener themselves, and thus creating sound textures of a hitherto unknown realism.

DSpatial

Working with immersive audio could now be much easier thanks to the use of the new solution DSpatial.

This Spanish-developed solution allows immersive sound mixing through two ten-point multi-touch screens, which integrates the classic concepts of reverb, panning and mixing into a single work environment, unifying them in a single space, and creating a new paradigm in the production of immersive sound. Through this simple but powerful paradigm, engineers can focus on their creativity, forgetting about the cumbersome technical details of the past.

The heart of DSpatial is a proprietary physical modeling system that allows you to recreate real or imaginary sound spaces, freely moving the sound sources and the listener themselves, and thus creating sound textures of a hitherto unknown realism.

DSpatial eliminates the complexity inherent in immersive mixes since DSpatial does not work with the classic faders, sends, pans... but rather uses simple positions of objects in space. Once the positions of the sounds and the listener are defined, as well as the physical characteristics of the acoustic space, DSpatial carries out the necessary processing so that they sound as realistic as possible in each of the different formats, greatly simplifying the work of the mixing engineer.

If the positions of the objects or the listener vary in time, it is possible to define and automate the trajectories while DSpatial automatically simulates, without manual intervention of the engineer, physical characteristics such as inertia or the Doppler effect.

DSpatial works in full integration with the Pro Tools platform, and is compatible with all currently existing multichannel formats, both immersive and non-immersive, being easily expandable to any format that may appear in the future.
The number of DSpatial input and output channels is unlimited, and only depends on the power of the computer used, the Pro Tools configuration, and the needs of each project.

On September 26, a preview of this solution was presented for the first time at the Sony studios in Los Angeles, on the occasion of the Mix Sound for Film event, receiving a magnificent reception from professionals. As a result of this presentation in Hollywood, DSpatial has opened negotiations with several multinational companies interested in adopting the system in the film, virtual reality, broadcast or music industries.
