Newsource Globo and GoPro will capture the Rio Carnival in 360º

Thanks to an agreement with Globo's news and services agency with GoPro, for the first time the popular Parade of Champions of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival will be recorded in 360º.

Globo's news and services agency in Brazil, Newsource, has closed an agreement with GoPro to capture in 360º next Saturday, February 13, the popular Parade of Champions of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival.

Newsource will produce a series of compacts with 360º images of the six best-ranked groups as they pass through the Sambadrome.

Rafael Gruenbaum, Project Director of NewSource Globo, recognizes that "the Rio Carnival is a festival that attracts interested parties from all over the world, especially this year, when all eyes are focused on the Olympic City. We try to offer the best coverage of the most traditional festival in the country, and the association with GoPro enriches our content."
