Manufactured by the Japanese Soliton Systems, it is a small device capable of sending images in resolutions up to Full HD 1080 60i with hardware H.265 compression.

Smart Telecaster Zao

From the hand of Star Communications The Smart Telecaster Zao portable H.265 video encoder is presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Made by Japanese Soliton Systems It is a small device (it weighs just 900 grams) that attaches to any camera with Full HD quality (1080 60i). It allows you to broadcast live without mobile units, satellite or terrestrial links, through 3G, 4G or WiFi networks, without cuts or pixelation thanks to the use of hardware H.265 compression.

The equipment uses hardware H.265/HEVC compression, sending the signal through 6 3G/4G/WiFi modems (configurable simultaneously) from any mobile phone operator.

Note that with only 3 of these modems it is possible to maintain a transmission at 30 frames per second.

The device automatically adds and balances the traffic for each of the modems thanks to its own algorithm (RASCOW).

Directional communication

In addition to the video broadcast, it has a two-way audio communication channel. Thanks to the return, the reporter can listen to the signal sent from the central studios.

According to the manufacturer, with only 1 Mbps we could send a signal in Full HD, maintaining the transmission without sound cuts or image pixelation with a band between 200 and 300kbps (the audio would be maintained, even below 100kbps).
