Linked to pay television and OTT services on Digital+, today Movistar+, for almost three decades, Romero leaves the management of Yomvi to undertake new professional projects.
After 29 years linked to different television projects around PRISA, and since July 2015 with Telefónica after the purchase of Canal+, Pablo Romero leaves the content direction of Yomvi.
Romero has announced his departure at FOA 2016, an event organized by Marketing Directo, ensuring that "after many years in pay television, after editing content on Yomvi that has allowed me to get to know the world of OTT, and broadband distribution content with a very open market... I am going to try new adventures."
With a degree in Philosophy and Letters from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a master's degree in media and broadcasting from Tufts University and in television from Boston University, Romero began his professional career in 1989 at Canal Plus Spain at the head of the pay channel's own production. In 2003 he assumed the programming direction of the Digital+ platform. In recent years, since the launch of Yomvi, Romero was in charge of content management for this multi-device OTT platform.
Pablo Romero is considered one of the greatest experts in Spain in OTT services and non-linear television.
