Sennheiser launches a waterproof microphone for GoPros

The micro uses a special foam that ensures that it can be used even for water sports without giving up its wind protection properties.

Sennheiser has launched a new microphone specially designed for action cameras GoPro. Developed within the framework of the GoPro Developer Program, this microphone is based on a miniature professional solution from Sennheiser, which features an internal protective diaphragm, the so-called diaphragm umbrella, located above the acoustically active membrane.

What is most striking about the new microphone is that it is waterproof and practically immune against snow, ice and wind, thus being able to capture high-quality audio in extreme situations such as surfing, climbing or mountain biking.
