4K and 360 video star in Panasonic workshops at the 4K-UHD Summit
One of the stars is, without a doubt, the UC3000 4K studio camera. This model has a built-in MOS sensor that generates a UHD signal of up to 50p and offers superior image quality in HD. The camera's B4 mount includes a full-range 2/3″ lens to make the most of your lens investment.
Additionally, the UC3000 enables high-sensitivity (F10/2000 lx), low-noise (60 dB+ signal-to-noise ratio), high-resolution (1800TVL/UHD) recordings, and 600% wide dynamic range (-6dB~36dB).
Multipurpose camera
Another novelty is the UB300 multipurpose camera that offers high image quality for recording sporting events, auditoriums, weather information, live concerts or aerial shots.
To make the most of its ease of use and meet a wide range of needs, the AK-UB300 integrates a low-light noise reduction function that takes advantage of the high sensitivity mode, a new haze reduction function (valuable for recording weather information) and a 4K output plate.
Video output will be available from the camera itself in four simultaneous H.264 streams with a wide range of data transmission rates. In addition, it offers recordings at resolutions up to 1080/50p at transmission speeds of up to 24 Mbps. For direct and remote monitoring and control over IP, the UB300 allows you to view and control up to 10 cameras simultaneously from a web browser.
The UB300 features a 2x digital magnification zoom, a four-position neutral density filter (Clear, ND4, ND16, ND64) and focus assist functionality. The B4 system allows the use of current 2/3″ lenses. In addition to HD output, the UB300 features a 4x3G-SDI output board as standard that can be swapped with other optional 4K outputs, such as fiber optics.
Series UX
Designed for low-cost productions that require mobility, the UX series 4K handheld cameras complete Panasonic's equipment portfolio. The UX series supports recording in 4K (4096x2160, 24p only), UHD (3840x2160) and FHD up to 120p, and uses SD memory cards as recording media. The high-end UX model can also record in two codecs (UHD2/FHD), infrared in low light conditions and 3G SDI/HDMI2.0 output. The MOS sensor of UX cameras guarantees sensitivity equivalent to that of conventional handheld cameras. Variable frame rate recording (VFR) functionality from 2 to 60 fps is also planned to be introduced in FHD mode.
Finally, and for the first time in Europe, Panasonic is demonstrating the 360º camera system, an interesting solution designed for virtual reality applications
