The journalist Carlos Reviriego will be the deputy director of the Spanish Film Library and responsible for the programming of the Spanish Film Library, as agreed by the qualifying panel of the selective process convened by the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts and whose resolution was published today.

Reviriego is the head of the Film Section of El Cultural-El Mundo, in addition to collaborating and being part of the Board of Directors of Caimán-Cuadernos de Cine, in Sensacine and in Film Comment. Previously he had worked at Actualidad Económica and at ABC and ABC Cultural.

He is currently programming the Madrid German Film Festival since 2012. Previously, he was part of the programming, viewing, film selection and writing of the catalog texts for the Mapfre 4+1 Festival and the Documenta Madrid International Festival.

In addition to his tasks as a film critic and programmer at film festivals, he shares his work with teaching in the Master of Film Criticism at the Film and Audiovisual School of the Community of Madrid (ECAM). He has given numerous presentations, courses and seminars at universities and various cultural institutions, always related to the cinematographic field.
