Tmediat has been awarded the tender called by CCMA for the acquisition of integrated decoder receivers (IRD's).

Television of Catalonia has awarded a Tmediat the acquisition of integrated receiver decoders (IRD's) in order to complete its signal reception platform.

The solution adopted is based on the Kyrion DR5000 ultra-low latency model from Atem, allowing resolutions up to 1080p at 50/60 frames in 4:2:2 at 10/12 bits. It incorporates decoding of MPEG-2/MPEG-4/HEVC formats with demodulation up to DVB-S2 at 16/32APSK and DVB-S2X option.

It incorporates BISS 0/1/E/ (EBU R139) DVB-CI Common Interface with support for conditional access systems (CAS) from many manufacturers.

Being a 100% software-based solution allows for network updates, thereby increasing the operational ROI, therefore extending the life of the product.

Among the new features it incorporates is the possibility of receiving contributions through unmanaged WAN networks (Internet) using FEC and ARQ for an optimal level of quality of service (SLA), considerably reducing operating costs (OPEX).

Ateme's Kyrion contribution/reception platform has important global references including EBU/EBU, Intelsat, SISlive, Turner Sports, Level 3 or France Television.

One of the most interesting options of the Kyrion family is the possibility of remultiplexing several encoders in a chain, producing an MPTS with the same PTS, thereby avoiding having to re-synchronize the contributions at the destination, thereby facilitating remote productions.
