46% of households in Latin America will have fixed broadband in 2023
One of the obstacles facing the distribution of high-quality content in Latin America would gradually be diluted with the generalization of broadband access.
Dataxis has carried out a report in which it highlights that between now and 2023, almost 20 million new fixed broadband accesses in Latin America, which would mean a penetration in the region of 46% (91.1 million).

Dataxis notes that very high-speed broadband options have already reached critical mass. In 2017 they represented 36% of accesses and are expected to reach 75.5% in 2023.
Furthermore, the latest Dataxis research reveals a quick DSL replacement process, the dominant technological option until 2017. The DSL market share was 48% and in 2023 it will drop to 29%. The Cable Modem will prevail as the option with the highest volume, representing 43% of accesses, followed by fiber optics with 28%.
