Qvest Media transforms the production workflow of the publiccaster deutsche welle
The nucleus of the powerful solution includes the Sony Backbone Hive Production System, the Multicloud Qvest.cloud Ultimate and the Mayam Tasks Working Flow Orchestra.
QVEST Media is developing and implementing a new average production system for German wave, based in Germany. The integrator is designing the production workflow based on an architecture and native infrastructure of the scalable and modular cloud. DW's new technological strategy is taking advantage of the collaborative use of added and produced content for an efficient multiplatform distribution.
“First online"Mark the change of strategy in Deutsche Welle for which she plans to align her portfolio of multilingual international programs and news more closely with online social networks channels. The project to establish a production infrastructure between sites is being carried out by the Qvest Media team in close collaboration with the Deutsche Welle dedicated project team during the next two years using agile methods.
Tras la implementación inicial del producto, el sistema y los flujos de trabajo se expandirán a través de múltiples sprints incrementales junto con los especialistas y editores de la emisora. Ulrich Voigt, DESIGN DIRECTOR OF QVEST MEDIA, highlights that “we are implementing Media Backbone Hive and Mayam Tasks at an early stage of the project in the form of a viable minimal product (Minimum Viable Product, MVP) in Deutsche Welle in Bonn and Berlin. We are using Qvest.cloud as an execution layer for cloud containers and for the supervision of the system. Due to the system design. of the project, we can achieve maximum flexibility and create a workflow configuration centered on the future based on the best applications in its class ”.
Fabian Hoffmann, Deutsche Welle project manager, ara we are especially important that we can produce faster with the new solution and, thanks to the HTML-5 HTML-5 video editor of Media Backbone Hive, we can also work in collaboration regardless of our location. A big point in favor is the agile approach of the project that will allow us to develop the system continuously in line with the changing market demands. ”
All new components will be implemented as virtualized software architecture at the Deutsche Welle data center facilities. In the future, individual components can migrate to a public cloud. This new solution will initially be linked to the existing systems environment, such as the products of Adobe and Avid. The station plans to add more cloud -based applications to the system.
For the period after the project, Qvest Media and Deutsche Welle have agreed to continuously expand the system with new functions and workflows. With more than 3,000 employees, Deutsche Welle has a great demand for globally usable cloud functions. Thanks to automated research tools and applications that facilitate work in collaboration and global access to the common content of content, the project will bring content aggregation, production and reporting of reports.
Highlight, finally, that every week, the content of Deutsche Welle reaches more than 100 million people on all continents.
