Ges-IT shows the latest developments from the fiber solutions brand Ereca at IBC
The evolution of its Cam Racer 8K camera fiber connection system and its Stage Racer 2 multi-signal units are the protagonists of the fair.
One more year, Ges-IT is present in IBC showing the latest technology on the market. In this case, it releases the most relevant novelties of the French brand Ereca. The evolution of your system fiber connection for Cam Racer 8K camera and their Stage Racer 2 multi-signal units They are the protagonists of the fair.
Cam Racer is a complete fiber optic transmission solution for connecting a camera for broadcast, studio and cinema applications. It consists of an attachable camera transmitter, independent of any type or brand of camera, and a 1RU base station receiver.
Con four channels 12G-SDI, the Cam Racer 8K can fit any camera, from simple ENG to 8K, sports live devices, making it suitable for any work environment.
Cam Racer 8K delivers 140 watts to the camera. Employing an additional backup battery will help the remote power system if more power is suddenly needed or as a security system.
Control and configuration of signals is done through the internal web server. Most signals are also displayed on each unit's LED display.
A screen OLED provides direct access to the optical reception levels and the server's IP address.
An internal audio mixer allows the user to mix between talkback, program inputs and local audio channels for Eng and Reporter headphones.
The channel of camera control Supports Ethernet, RS422 serial, Canon RC-V100 protocol (Lanc enhanced). While the synchronization The camera works with two composite video signals and one time code.
The transmitter is installed in a V-mount attachable unit that can be installed on any camera.
A user panel features LEDs for signal presence/activity, rotary knob for volume adjustment and various level settings (side tone, program1/program2 listening level) along with push-to-talk commands.
He cooling The operation of the unit is provided by a small, quiet fan located on the back of the unit.
He base station receiver It is built into a standard 19" 1RU form factor. All signals are sent on standard connectors and standard pins on the back of the chassis. (The web server is on a separate Ethernet port.)
The front of the chassis is composed of an LED display panel that indicates the status of each signal and technical alarm. An Oled screen provides direct access to the optical reception levels and the server's IP address.
The base station integrates a single mains power supply and two fans for thermal management.
Stage Racer 2
As for the Stage Racer 2, is a complete solution fiber optic transmission for each transmission event, ranging from a simple OB interconnect to a complex star, ring or linear topology distributed over an entire TV composite.
It also supports long-distance transmission for remote production capability, allowing content sharing between distant locations.
This solution is designed to accept all types of signals on the same device without an external adapter. Internally, those signals can be associated/routed/distributed to all other machines on the network.
It also offers processing capabilities with Audio Embedded / De-embedded, Audio SRC, Frame buffering…
The Stage Racer 2 network can controlled via an intuitive web interface built-in or with automation como VSM, KSC Core …
The Stage Racer 2 is available in two standard configurations: 12 or 24 SDI channels plus a common set of signals. Each equipment assumes the transmission of a complete set of signals as follows:
- 8 to 16 bidirectional SD to 3G ports (address configurable)
- 4 to 8 bidirectional SD ports at 12G (address configurable)
- 1 Distributed Genlock (composite video / Black burst / Tri-level)
- 16 two-way analog audio for intercom or program
- 2 Ethernet 10/100 / 1000Mbs
- 2 data RS 232/422/485
- 8 contact closures
- 4 AES 3 bidirectional (compatible with intercom panel)
- 1 bidirectional MADI signal (AES10) (shared with 2 of the 4 AES connectors)
• Optional: 1 Dante / AES67 module with support for 64 channels
• Optional: 8 switchable line/mic gain blocks with Phamton Power and gain management
• Optional: 6 additional RS422 serial channels of 500Kbs
• Optional: 10-16V DC input to connect an external battery used in case of loss of mains power
