Netflix renews a fifth season of 'La Casa de Papel' with Vancouver

It will begin filming in early 2020, at which time the fourth part of the production will be broadcast.

Netflix has renewed with Vancouver Media a fifth installment of the popular series The Money Heist. The production company is already in pre-production of the new episodes to be filmed in 2020 at the time when the streaming platform already has the fourth season in its catalog.

The series has turned out to be one of the main hits in the Netflix catalog, positioning itself as the most viewed non-English speaking fiction. Given the great acceptance of the series in Latin America, the scriptwriters have been including nods with new characters and plots.

More than 34 million people watched the third season of The Money Heist during the first week after its premiere last July, according to Netflix data, recording the best data in the first week of a Netflix series in a non-English language.

The team led by Alex Pina is currently immersed in filming the fourth season.
