The deadline to participate in these initiatives framed within the Iberseries Pro and Iberseries Plus sections, aimed at series projects in Spanish in the development phase, opens until March 20.

Iberseries

Iberseries, he International festival of series in Spanish which will take place in Granada from May 25 to 30, 2020, calls for two interesting initiatives: Iberseries Pitch y Taller de Showrunners, framed within the sections Iberseries Pro e Iberseries Plus, intended for series projects in Spanish in the development phase.

Registration to participate in these initiatives will be open from this Friday, February 28th until next March 20th at this web.

Five participants will have the opportunity, on Thursday, May 28, within the framework of the Iberseries Pro professional days, to present their project in front of an audience of potential financiers, producers and representatives of dissemination platforms, in a single space.

Each selected participant will have five minutes to present their project, and another five minutes to reply, before a tribunal made up of three prominent professionals in the audiovisual field who will announce the winning pitch of the cash prize of 3,000 euros, on Friday, May 29.

Participants will also have access to all the activities programmed by Iberseries Pro through free accreditations, as well as a space where each finalist project can meet privately with industry professionals who have shown interest in their proposal.
Of all the proposals received, a committee headed by the screenwriter and Festival advisor, Ángeles González-Sinde, will be in charge of selecting the 5 participating projects based on criteria such as the quality, viability and innovation of the proposal.

Taller de Showrunners

For its part, the Iberseries Plus section, with the sponsorship of the Junta de Andalucía and the collaboration of Ibermedia and Fiacine, launches its Content Laboratory with the showrunner training workshop integrated into the audiovisual industry of Ibero-American countries.

A workshop that will offer a maximum of 14 projects the precise keys to writing, production and management, for the successful exercise of the task of showrunner. This workshop will be led by Royo Work, among whose latest works the Mexican and Spanish production series stands out Hernan, and the Colombian Juana Uribe, showrunner of series like Pablo Escobar and currently, vice president of the Caracol TV station.

Curro Royo and Juana Uribe will also have the collaboration of other prestigious professionals from the audiovisual industry such as Amaya Muruzabal (Dopamine, Mexico), Manuela Ocón (Atypical Films, Spain) and Sidney Borjas (Scenic Rights, Spain).

Among other topics, specific issues such as marketing, planning, casting, use of resources and the legal dimension will be addressed.
The workshop will take place from Tuesday, May 26 to Thursday, May 28 within the framework of the Iberseries Plus section.
