A digital meeting will bring together platform and channel managers to learn about the keys that will shape the future.

New realities of audiovisual in Spanish: present and future of the industry

Under the title New realities of audiovisual in Spanish: present and future of the industry, Iberseries gather the next May 26 (5:00 p.m. -Spain- / 10:00 a.m. -Bogotá- / 11:00 a.m. -Miami- / 12:00 p.m. -Buenos Aires-) to four representatives of the main platforms and television networks in Spain and Latin America to talk about the panorama of the sector today and where it is going.

What are the new production strategies and financing methods for new audiovisual content? What are the narrative formats with the most future? These are some of the issues that will be addressed Fernando López Puig (Spanish Television), Guillermo Borensztein (ViacomCBS), Catalina Porto (Caracol TV, Colombia) and Alejandro Martínez Roig (Movistar+, Spain) in this meeting moderated by the specialized journalist from Prensario Internacional, Fabricio Ferrara.

To Samuel Castro, director of Iberseries, we are facing a great milestone for professionals in the sector since it is the first time that we have the opportunity to see free-to-air television and payment platforms from both sides of the Atlantic sitting at the same (virtual) table debating the current state and the future of audiovisuals in Spanish. And all in a context of uncertainty in which the call for collaboration is more necessary than ever.

“Each of these platforms and television networks have followed very different positioning and content production strategies in recent years, which means that we can now find a very enriching diversity of points of view in the face of the recovery panorama of the industry that we face,” adds Castro.

This activity, which has the collaboration of Prensario Internacional and the Spanish news agency EFE, is part of the initiative for visibility, support and meeting of professionals #IberseriesTeAcompaña, launched last April and which has led the festival to offer part of its professional area programming for free and in a digital version. A campaign that will close the month of May with the grand final of Iberseries PITCH next Thursday, May 28.
