Verdi cinemas make the leap to video-on-demand with two channels

Verdi TV Cinemas and Feel Good Verdi TV Cinema theme channels are coming to Samsung TV Plus
with a wide range of films that can be seen both in a linear way and on video on demand.

The exhibitor with rooms in Barcelona and Madrid, Verdi Cinemas, jump to the small screen with Two linear channels and a Low video service which will be available at Samsung Tv Plus.

Verdi TV Cinemas and Cine Feel Good Verdi TV They will offer an extensive programme 24 hours a day with the presence of great titles and some of the most relevant authors of world cinema.

These two new channels are added to the Samsung TV Plus offer, accessible to those who have a Samsung device. In addition, the content offered by the new Verdi Cinemas channels can be enjoyed in two different ways: following the proposals of the Verdi programmer, with uninterrupted content throughout the day; and on demand service (AVOD) in which the viewer can choose at any time the film they want to watch.

In this way, Samsung TV Plus and the Verdi Cinemas will offer a wide list of films that the viewer will be able to watch from home.

Eduardo Escudero, business director in Virtual Content Management, acknowledges that "nothing is comparable to enjoying a film in Verdi cinemas or in any cinema, but we would like (through these two channels) to bring viewers free but careful and selected programming as Verdi cinemas have been doing for more than 33 years. We believe that these channels will offer a type of films that are not found in any of the existing services."

For its part, Amalia Martínez de Velasco, Senior Business Development Manager of Samsung TV Plus in Spain, states that "with this agreement with Cines Verdi, we continue to incorporate new channels to our free content platform Samsung TV Plus. Two new cinema channels, which are added to a very wide catalog of entertainment and news, in which Samsung Smart TV users will be able to find a very select catalog of movies." This combination has led users to choose us over other competitors, leading us to lead the global TV market for 14 consecutive years."

Cines Verdi has been screening the best films to a loyal audience for 33 years, both in Barcelona, on Calle Verdi in the emblematic neighborhood of Gracia, and in Madrid, in Bravo Murillo. Now, with these two new channels and an extensive catalog of films from all eras, genres and authors, it will be able to reach homes throughout the country, with films 168 hours a week.
