True Video on Demand in Australia with Tandberg

Tandberg's technology helps Hybrid TV implement Caspa On-Demand, one of the most extensive and advanced on-demand television services based on the TiVo terminal in Australia.

Tandberg Television's Watch Point content management system has been chosen by the Australian Hybrid Television Services, the exclusive licenser of TiVo products in Australia and New Zealand, for the implementation of Caspa On-Demand, its new on-demand television service over broadband. Thanks to it, Hybrid TV users have access to a wide catalog of movies and television programs through the TiVo device. This is one of the first and largest implementations of true on-demand TV in Australia, developed in beta over two months and released to market in just one month.

As part of the centralized and multi-territory VoD service, Hybrid Tv uses the WatchPoint content management system and the OpenStream digital services platform (as an on-demand backoffice solution). The operator has also integrated the AdPoint Advanced advertising platform and Tandberg's Xport Producer encoding technology.

Caspa On-Demand complements the downloading of content over a broadband connection with the DTT television service available on TiVo receivers in New Zealand and Australia.
