Haivision Hub, global video networking service, is now available

Haivision has launched Haivision Hub, a video networking solution already used by the UER o Microsoft Studios that enables live productions for different verticals.

Haivision Hub is an “easy-to-use” video network service that allows you to securely transport live IP video contribution sources since the encoders at event locations until the production resources on premises or in the cloud. The solution centralizes workflow management of live contribution, simplifying connectivity, and adapting to informational, sports, corporate and cultural environments.

The solution of Haivision has already been adopted by several global broadcasters and organizations, such as Eurovision Sport in the UER, Microsoft Studios, Times Network, US Department of Veterans Affairs, South Dakota Public Broadcasting, NOMOBO y HBS. Jeff Tyler, Director of Digital Media Experience at Microsoft, conveys his experience: "Haivision Hub allows us to simply and easily get many live streams of our events to our production center without the hassle of manually scheduling each individual workflow. This saves us a tremendous amount of time and virtually eliminates errors."

Features of Haivision Hub

Haivision Hub stands out for its “simplicity and agility”, since users can create routes worldwide “in a matter of seconds.” Fundamental for this purpose are the Hublets, the building blocks of Cloud Hub routes. With the Hublets, the Users specify regions and settings, connect inputs to outputs, and Haivision Hub is responsible for provisioning the cloud resources necessary to start routing live video.

On the other hand, Haivision Hub can be paired with video encoders Makito X y X4, allowing integrated routes from edge-to-edge device or edge-to-cloud. Once paired, Haivision Hub users can configure edge hub devices connected to control settings such as video codec, bit rate, encoding profile, color accuracy, or to select the video/audio inputs.

Likewise, Hub offers real-time transcoding (RTT), supporting conversion between HEVC y H.264, he trans-rating and the conversion of frame-rate; and features a Hublets preset creator for configure and save settings of paired Hub edge devices and transcoding Hublets.
